What is an Authorization? How will it appear on my statement?

An authorization is a hold TryNow places on the card for the amount of your order. It’s how TryNow ensures that funds can be captured for kept items at the end of a shopper’s trial (it’s just like a hold that hotels or rideshare apps use!).

The way authorizations display on the statement varies by the issuing bank. Typically, authorizations are labeled as “pending” on the statements OR they will not have a date associated with the charge indicating that the charge has not yet been posted.

Why do I have multiple authorizations on their card?

Most credit card holders are subject to a 7-day re-authorization process, which means your card will be re-authorized every 7 days to ensure that the funds are still available to pay for their order. TryNow only holds one authorization at a time, but it can take 24-48 hours for the expired authorization to drop from your statement
