This is where it all started. On a remote location in the Caribbean coast of Colombia lays an off-the-beaten path desert paradise with dramatic landscapes and striking virgin beaches. The matriarchal tribe of the Wayuu has been living there in partial isolation for centuries. On a recent trip to the Cabo de Vela we were inspired to develop a collection of espadrilles using traditional Wayuu weave patterns. These represent indigenous circular cosmology with threads woven into each other without beginning or end. Get crazy combining stripes or prints with our monotone designs, just make sure the two are in contrasting hues. Sometimes the most unlikely combos make the most striking looks. Be bold and prepare to feel liberated!
